THE BAR HAS BEEN RAISED BITCHES!!!

This is the definitely the cutestttttttttttttt thing I have ever seen in my whole life! I had to wipe away a tear. And I’m not even a marriage proposal sap!

Somewhere in my journey to get rid of the rest of my bone straight ends, my hair beat me to the punch. Although, I know it was a gradual process, it seemed like it happened over night. I woke up one morning and I only had half of my relaxed ends left. What really happened is they broke off… somewhere in between my detangling and styling over the last year. And because I’m a length freak, I walked around for a good amount of months trying to cover the fact that my hair was ridiculously uneven. Well I FINALLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYY decided to cut whatever was left of my stick straight ends off about 3 weeks ago (about 6 inches).

My hair looks much better now!

Yesterday, I went to happy hour with one of my besties, Nina. We took advantage of the Mexican themed restaurant and had some appetizers. Absolutely yummy! Nachos. Taquitos. Strawberry and Lime margaritas.

In the midst of prayer last night, it hit me just how much I’ve grown and it made me smile. I’ve learned to stop praying for the things that I want and the things that I think I need. I simply ask that God blesses me with whatever is in my best interest. Over these last few months the fact that God has a plan that is often times unforeseen to me, has become more than apparent. Everything that I’ve asked for and didn’t get had a reason and all tied into what I now know was a bigger plan. Now, I’m so content with letting go and letting God do what he does best. It really is such a relief. It almost seems silly to me that I wasn’t able to reach this peace of mind sooner.

We went to Maggiano’s for my birthday! I didn’t really like the food, but I definitely enjoyed the company. Afterwards, we went out to a lounge to party with Wale. Good times!

Sometimes I look back on memories and feel like I failed to capture them. I look at all the albums that everyone has on facebook and all the twitpics that people post on twitter and realize that I’m slacking. One of my new years resolutions last year was to make sure to not only have more fun, but also take more pictures to document everything. I have definitely been slacking on the photography part for one reason or another (mainly because I didn’t have a good camera.) Well, my 21st birthday just passed and I got a brand new awesome camera (thanks to my big brother), so I should have no more excuses! Expect a slew of pictures in the days, weeks, and months to follow :)
